Aledo, Illinois L. Barbara Searle, 74, of Aledo died Monday, June 3, 2002 at the Mercer County Hospital. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 5 to 8 PM at Trimble Funeral Home, Aledo. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association. Burial will be at a later date. Barbara was born on January 19, 1928 in Hiawatha, Kansas to Charles R. and Helen V. (Woods) Gibbs. She married Howard B. Searle on December 11, 1945 in Horton, Kansas. Barbara enjoyed doing needlework and watching television. Barbara is survived by her husband, Howard; 2 daughters and sons-in-law: Sally I. And Jerry Koczan of University City, MO and Nancy J. and Kenneth Surdez of Lyndon, IL; 5 grandchildren: Jeremiah, Joshua and Jessica Koczan and Daniel and Rusty Surdez; 4 great grandchildren; and a brother-in-law, John Searle.
