Chad W. Owens, 35, of Moline, Illinois, died Sunday, July 24, 2011, in his home.
Services are 10 a.m. Friday in the Celebration of Life Chapel at Trimble Funeral and Cremation Center, Moline. Burial is in Moline Memorial Park. Visitation is 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Chad William Owens was born December 18, 1975, in Rock Island, Illinois, the son of Rex William Owens and Gail Marie DeMoises Owens. He was a member of the Operating Engineers International Union, Local #150, Rock Island, and was serving an apprenticeship as a heavy equipment operator. He enjoyed marshal arts, boating and soccer, and loved his dog, Obie.
Chad is survived by his mother, Gail Gooden of Moline; his father and step-mother, Rex and Connie Owens of Mercedes, Texas; siblings, Rex A. Owens and his wife Shelly of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Margery Gooden of Milan, and Mark Stodghill of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
