Kimberly A. Lorber

Kimberly A. Lorber, 52, of Bettendorf, Iowa, died Monday, January 27, 2025, at home. 

Services are 10:00 a.m. Thursday, January 30, at St. Athanasius Russian Orthodox Church, 228 West 15th Street, Davenport, Iowa, immediately followed by burial at Rock Island National Cemetery. Friends are invited to join the family at a funeral luncheon at CityView Celebrations at Trimble Pointe, 701 12th Street, Moline, following burial. Visitation is 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. Wednesday in the Horizon Room at Trimble Funeral Home at Trimble Pointe. Memorials may be made to the family.

Kimberly Ann Hudgins was born May 28, 1972, in Orlando, Florida, the daughter of Robert and Cheryl (Marshall) Hudgins. She married the love of her life, Lance Lorber, on February 9, 1991, in Pensacola, Florida, and the couple raised six wonderful children together. 

Aside from raising her children, Kimberly spent a lot of time volunteering for various organizations over the years. Her passion was for La Leche League, where she served as a breastfeeding counselor. She had her own baby-wearing business, “Happily Held” and helped countless mothers over the years. More than anything, Kim loved being a mom and wife. 

Kim is survived by her beloved husband, Lance; her six children, Kristopher, Jonathan, Lucas (Lynn), Joshua, Mariann, and Michael Lorber; her mother, Cheryl Davis-Enuka of Flowery Branch, Georgia; siblings, Tamela (Kevin) Nelson, Holly (Jonathan) Redman, Janet (Robert) Dangerfield, Robyn (Kenneth) Townsend, and Sheri (Kenneth) Stranger; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Hudgins.
