Kelly Jo (Blackman) Oliver, 58, of Coal Valley, Illinois, passed away on Saturday, October 7, 2023, at Genesis Medical Center in Silvis, Illinois.
Visitation to celebrate her life will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 12, at Trimble Funeral Home in Coal Valley, followed by a graveside service at Coal Valley Cemetery at 11:15 a.m. Memorials may be made to QC Paws.
The former Kelly Jo Blackman was born May 1, 1965, in Silvis, the daughter of Dale and Karen (Knowles) Blackman. She graduated from Moline High School in 1983. On December 30, 1989, she married Allen Troy Oliver in Coal Valley. Although they later separated, they remained close until his passing on September 24, 2008.
Kelly Jo dedicated her life to caring for others, working as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at Oak Glen Home in Coal Valley for many years. She continued her compassionate work at Hope Creek Nursing Home when they relocated to East Moline. She found joy in taking care of those in need.
Her love extended to animals, and she cherished spending time with her family. Kelly Jo will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her beloved mother, Karen Blackman of Coal Valley; step-son, Tony Oliver; brother and sister-in-law, Drew and Linda Blackman of Coal Valley; sister and brother-in-law, Jenifer “J.J.” and Steve Anderson of Coal Valley; and nieces and nephews, Spencer (Claudia) Blackman, Sydney Blackman, Sawyer (Judy Borah) Blackman, Morgan Anderson, and Max Anderson. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Abby Jade Oliver; her father, Dale Blackman; and her ex-husband and best friend, Allen Oliver.
