Kathleen M. Nahrgang

Kathleen M. Nahrgang, 94, of Moline, Illinois, died Thursday, December 11, 2014, in Genesis Medical Center, Illini Campus, Silvis, Illinois.

Services are 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Horizon Room at Trimble Funeral Home at Trimble Pointe, 701 12th Street, Moline, with visitation one hour before the services. Following the service, cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, and burial will be in Coal Valley Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Christ United Methodist Church, East Moline, or the church's food pantry.

The former Kathleen Marie McCleary was born December 16, 1919, in Moline, to William and Carol (Malcolm) McCleary. She married Percy Nahrgang on April 30, 1938, in Davenport, Iowa. He died May 20, 2000. She had been employed at Gibberman Brothers and Hafner's Wagon Wheel. She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church, East Moline, and former member of Union Congregational Church, Moline, and Orion United Methodist Church. She loved spending time with her family, and enjoyed cleaning, reading and baking.

Katie is survived by four children and their spouses, Gary and Sandi Nahrgang and Larry and Jan Nahrgang, all of East Moline, Jim and Marian Nahrgang of Springfield, Ohio, and Carol Smith of Moline; 14 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and 14 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, her brother, Malcolm "Bill" McCleary, a grandson, and a great-granddaughter.
