Kathleen J. Wagner

Kathleen J. Wagner, 89, of Geneseo, Illinois, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, April 24, 2017, in UnityPoint Health - Trinity Rock Island, Rock Island, Illinois.

Services are 12 Noon Saturday at Trimble Funeral Home, 1701 1st Street, Coal Valley, Illinois. Burial is in Coal Valley Cemetery. Visitation is 10 a.m. to Noon Saturday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Mission Department at First Baptist Church, Geneseo.

The former Kathleen June Heller was born September 9, 1927, in Geneseo to Neal and Kathryn Wynick Heller. She married Joe Wagner on May 16, 1965, in Orion, Illinois. He died November 11, 1981. She worked as a waitress for various local restaurants for over 30 years, retiring in 1965. She was a long time member of First Baptist Church, Geneseo, and active in various church groups. She was a charter member of the Coal Valley Lioness Club, a member of the Geneseo Lioness Club, and had been active in the Geneseo Food Program for 12 years.

Kathleen is survived by three daughters and a son-in-law, Sharon Cole of Pascagoula, Mississippi, Carol Hay of Silvis, Illinois, and Kathryn and Leland Roggenkamp of Cocoa, Florida; 11 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and eight great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband and four sisters.
