Mary Kay Widen, 68, of Moline, died Wednesday, January 16, 2008, at Oak Glen Home, Coal Valley.
Services are 11:00 a.m. Saturday in the Celebration of Life Chapel at Trimble Funeral and Cremation Center, Coal Valley. The Reverend Tim Snart will officiate. Visitation is 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial is in Coal Valley Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer?s Association.
The former Mary Katherine Nightingale was born January 16, 1940, in Moline, the daughter of Carl and Cleo (Youngberg) Nightingale. She married Larry Widen on September 14, 1958, in Coal Valley.
Mary Kay was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Coal Valley. She enjoyed animals, gardening, sewing, and attending her grandchildrens? sporting events and activities.
Mary Kay is survived by her husband; daughters, Pamela and her husband, James Knox of Coal Valley, and Tracey Jones and Beau Bramm of Moline; granddaughters, Kiely Jones, and Katharine and Ashley Stauffacher; great-granddaughters, Kaitlyn and Liberty Stauffacher; sisters, Sally Nightingale of Moline, and Jane Peterson of Prescott, Arizona; and many friends, including a special friend, Sandy Ohrn of Moline.
