Moline, Illinois Katherine A. Trout, 81, formerly of Moline, died Saturday, January 10, 2004, in Manor Care Health Services, Peoria, Illinois. Visitation is 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at Trimble Funeral Home, Moline, followed by graveside services at National Cemetery on the Rock Island Arsenal. Memorials may be made to Niabi Zoo. The former Katherine Arline Diamond was born February 6, 1922, in Moline, the daughter of Richard and Hedwig (Beyer) Diamond. She married Lyle Trout on June 15, 1941, in Kahoka, Missouri. He died August 17, 1993. She graduated from Moline High School in 1939, and attended Moline Institute of Commerce. She worked for Douglas Aircraft in Des Plaines, and was then secretary for Swanson and Maiwald Architects and Engineers, Moline Forge, and William Bernbrock Architect. She was a former member of Moline Turners, Edith Hans Circle of Kings Daughters, and short Hills Country Club, East Moline, and did volunteer work at the former Moline Public Hospital and Moline Lutheran Hospital. She enjoyed golf, square dancing, needlework, and gardening. Katherine is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Lynn and William Keefner, and two granddaughters, Emily and Erika Keefner, all of Peoria.
