Judy M. Taets, 78, of East Moline, Illinois, died Tuesday, December 5, 2017, in the emergency room at Genesis Medical Center, Illini Campus, Silvis, Illinois.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Monday at Christ the King Catholic Church, Moline, with Fr. Don Levitt celebrating. Burial is in Rock Island National Cemetery. A wake service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, followed by visitation until 5 p.m., at Trimble Funeral Home at Trimble Pointe, 701 12th Street, Moline. Memorials may be made to the church.
The former Judy Mae Harder was born September 3, 1939, in Davenport, Iowa, to Frank and Mabel Hansen Harder. She married Paul Lawrence Taets on June 9, 1962, in Moline. He died September 6, 2011. She was employed at Deere and Company for several years, and later worked at the Moline Dispatch, and as a medical transcriptionist for several doctors' offices.
Judy is survived by two children and spouses, Julie and Tim Nemmer of Mt. Prospect, Illinois, and Michael and Laura Taets of Westport, Connecticut; six grandchildren, Allison, Joey and Patrick Nemmer, and Jessica, Peter and Andrew Taets; a brother, Bill Harder; and half-siblings, Sue Berthoud and Steve Harder.
