Judy Sue Ide Fink, 82, of Bettendorf, Iowa, died on Saturday, March 26, 2016, in Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf, Iowa

A private family service will precede her cremation at Trimble Crematory, under the direction of Trimble Funeral Home. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Creston, Iowa, at a later date with an accompanying graveside service. Memorials may be made to Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, 2546 Tech Drive, Bettendorf, IA 52722

The former Judith Sue Ide was born December 2, 1933, near Shannon City, Iowa, to James S. and Eleanor M. (Hood) Ide. She graduated from a one-room grade school and from Creston High School. After attending Cottey College in Nevada, Missouri, she moved to Rochester, Minnesota, and graduated from Rochester Junior College as a medical secretary. She and her roommate found jobs in Lafayette, Indiana. There she met and married Harry A. Fink Jr. in 1956. After two years in the U.S. Army, they moved to East Moline, Illinois, where they both worked for Deere & Company and raised their family.

After her husband's retirement in 1985, they moved to Kimberling City, Missouri, near Branson. They did lots of volunteer work and played bridge at their local senior center. After fifteen years, they moved back to Coal Valley, Illinois, to be closer to family, before moving to Bettendorf in 2010.

A devoted wife and mother, family was the most important thing in her life. She had a gentle soul and always looked for the best in others. She was great fun and always ready for a game of cards. She will be remembered for her frequent smiles.

Judy is survived by her husband, Harry A. Fink Jr. of Coal Valley; two daughters, Shari Lynn Monson of Coal Valley, and Suellen Kay Richardson and her husband Jeffery of Avon, Indiana; one granddaughter, Megan S. Monson, and one great-granddaughter, Olivia Monson, both of Davenport, Iowa, a brother and two sisters-in-law, Richard J. and Shirley Ide and Shirley Ruth Ide, all of Creston; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her oldest brother, Frank A. Ide, all of Creston.
