Judith E. Smock, 72, of Sheffield, Illinois, formerly of Coal Valley, died Thursday, March 30, 2006, in her residence.
Services are 10 a.m. Monday in the Celebration of Life Chapel at Trimble Funeral and Cremation Center, Coal Valley. Burial is in National Cemetery on the Rock Island Arsenal. Visitation is 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the family.
The former Judith Eleanor Drury was born September 21, 1933, in Cape Cod, Massachusetts. She married Joseph Tremblay Sr. She later married Lloyd A. Smock on July 19, 1975, in Cambridge, Illinois. He died January 17, 1997. She was general manager of the Coal Valley Git-N-Go for several years. She enjoyed game shows, love stories, and gambling, and loved her dog, Nikki.
Judy is survived by three children, Kathi Tremblay Durbin of Carbon Cliff, Illinois; Joseph P. Tremblay and Allen Smock, both of Sheffield, Illinois; and six grandchildren, Layne and Brandon Johnson, Quinn Durbin, Rainey Tremblay, Brittany Colwell, and Alexis Smock.
