Judith A. Cook, 70, of Sherrard, Illinois, passed away peacefully Saturday, October 1, 2011, at Trinity Rock Island, Rock Island, Illinois.
Services are 11 a.m. Saturday, October 8, 2011, at Orion Christian Church, 12811 US Highway 150, Orion, Illinois, with The Reverend Max York officiating. Judy's family will greet friends at a reception at the church following the service. Private burial is in Rock Island National Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or a favorite charity. Trimble Funeral and Cremation Center, Moline, is entrusted with arrangements.
The former Judith Ann Cutler was born October 17, 1940, in Peoria, Illinois, the daughter of Nolan Roe and Geraldine Francis Minnick Cutler. She married Robert Charles Cook on September 13, 1959, in Greenville, Illinois.
The center of Judy's life was her family and friends, never missing a birthday or anniversary. They are enjoying her sewing, handy work and cross stitching. She loved luncheon outings and the Red Hat group, bridge and travel. She was a former Cancer Speaker and Counselor.
She is survived by her husband Robert C. Cook; a god-child Leslie Johnson; her step-mother, Dorothy Ray Cutler; her brother, Thomas D. Cutler; sisters, Pamela J. Hutton and Elizabeth Neally; a nephew, Jeffery Smith; and nieces, Cassie Brown, Stephanie Birchbickler, Kelly Cutler, Shelly Forys, Abigail Rae and Kerry Roth. She was preceded in death by her parents.
