Juanita M. Lopez of Moline, Illinois, died Sunday, March 5, 2006, in her home.

Services are 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Celebration of Life Chapel at Trimble Funeral and Cremation Center, Moline. Burial is in Riverside Cemetery, Moline. Visitation is 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Pathway Hospice, Alzheimer's Association, or Christian Friendliness Association.

Juanita was born in Galesburg, Illinois, the daughter of Robert and Bernice (Craig) Mickey. She married Arthur Lopez on February 27, 1970, in Rock Island. She graduated from the Moline Public Hospital School of Nursing and worked as a nurse for John Deere Plow-Planter Works for 27 years, retiring in 1985. She was a member of Riverside United Methodist Church, Moline.

Juanita is survived by her husband, Arthur; four children and spouses, Jayne and Jack McDermott of Bettendorf, Rock Johnson, Jo Johnson, and Jon and Jeanette Johnson, all of Moline; six grandchildren, Sarah and Andy Johnson, Christina and Isaac Nukapigak, Jennifer Dreifurst and her husband David, and Joseph Johnson; and two great-grandchildren, Chloe Hurley and Drew Dreifurst. She was preceded in death by her mother and step-father, Bernice and Len Ekdahl.
