Joyce K. Stablein

Joyce K. Stablein, 69, of Moline, Illinois, died Wednesday, July 10, 2024, at home.

Visitation is 10 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., with services to follow at 11:00 a.m., Monday, July 15, 2024, in the Horizon Room at Trimble Funeral Home at Trimble Pointe, 701 12th Street, Moline. Burial is in Rock Island National Cemetery immediately following services. Memorials may be made to the family. 

The former Joyce Kay Dowell was born October 20, 1954, to Warren and Virginia (Shuler) Dowell. She worked in the credit department at Mid American Energy Company, retiring in 2016. On October 22, 1972, she married the love of her life Robert Stablein, in Colona, Illinois. 

Joyce enjoyed being outdoors gardening, planting, and camping. She also enjoyed baking, going to her kids and grandkids sporting events, and was a huge fan of NCIS. 

She is survived by her children, Ron (Amanda) Stablein, Sheila (DeWayne) Harris, and Sherry (Nic) Peckenschneider; her grandchildren, Branden Stablein, Blake Peckenschneider, Nolan Peckenschneider, Caetlin Harris, Jordyn Harris, Bailey Harris, Alexis Harris, and Jayce Harris; and her siblings, Charles Dowell, Darlene Allen, Cheryl Dhaemers, Joy Farren, Dean Dowell, Teresa Burnett, Terry Dowell, and Jerry Dowell. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and siblings, Ruth Lees and Leroy Dowell.
