Joyce A. Wales, 81, of Davenport, Iowa, died Tuesday, November 27, 2018, at UnityPoint Health - Trinity Bettendorf, Bettendorf, Iowa.

Services will be private. Burial is in Pine Hill Cemetery, Davenport, Iowa. Trimble Funeral Home & Crematory, Moline, is entrusted with arrangements.

The former Joyce Allen Chesser was born December 30, 1936, in Ottumwa, Iowa, the daughter of Raymond and Lois (Johnson) Chesser. She married David Wales in 1956, in Rock Island, Illinois. He died in 1994.

She enjoyed going to garage sales and collecting nick-knacks, watching television, puzzles and puzzle books, and doing things for friends and family. Above all else, spending time with her family was the most important thing to Joyce.

Joyce is survived by her children, Dora (Allen) Eastwood, Timmy Wales, Judy Wales, Davey (Robert Sr.) Grafton, and Toddy (Patricia) Wales; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; a son, Terry Wales; and a daughter, Candy Wales.
