Jon S. Bogart 41, of Rock Island, Illinois, died Saturday, June 11, 2005, in the Emergency Room at Trinity Medical Center, Rock Island.
Services are 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Celebration of Life Chapel at Trimble Funeral and Cremation Center, Coal Valley, with The Reverend Ed Kuriscak, Edgewood Baptist Church, Rock Island, officiating. Burial is in Coal Valley Cemetery. Visitation is 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to an educational fund for his daughter, Heather.
Jon Scott Bogart was born February 13, 1964, in Rock Island, the son of William and Lenora (Butler) Bogart. He graduated from Rockridge High School, and had been married to the former JoAnn Vroman. He worked in maintenance for area businesses, last working as a detail man at Eriksen Chevrolet, Milan.
Jon was a member of St. Patrick?s Catholic Church, Andalusia. He coached girls softball for several years, was an avid Chicago Cubs and NASCAR racing fan, enjoyed fishing, and loved being with his daughter.
Jon is survived by his daughter, Heather; his parents, Lenora and William Bogart; a brother and sister-in-law, William Jr. and Linda Bogart; and nephews, Tony and Derek Bogart, all of Rock Island; aunts and uncles, John and Jan Bogart of Fulton, Illinois, Jerry and Myrtle Bogart of Bettendorf, Betty Butler of Coal Valley, and Betty Hamm of Rock Island; and very special friends, Kallie Hoyt of Buffalo Prairie, Illinois, and Juanita Shewmake and family of Rock Island.
