Johnnie Gryp, 56, of East Moline, Illinois, died Saturday, April 9, 2016, in Milford, Nebraska.

Services are 11:00 a.m. Friday in the Horizon Room at Trimble Funeral Home at Trimble Pointe, 701 12th Street, Moline. Visitation is one hour prior to services. Following services, cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, Moline. Memorials may be made to the family.

John was born December 2, 1959, in Moline, Illinois, the son of Charles and Esther Canada Gryp. He was a heavy equipment operator for several area companies. He was an avid Chicago Bears' and Cubs' fan.

He is survived by three children, Johnnie Jackson and Stephanie Gryp, both of Davenport, and Geovante Gryp of Carbon Cliff; seven grandchildren; and siblings, Maurice "Morris" Gryp of Daveport, and Annette Taylor. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Daniel Gryp, one sister, and three brothers.
