John W. Timmermann

John W. Timmermann, 77, of Moline, Illinois, died, Tuesday, November 1, 2005 at Trinity at Terrace Park in Bettendorf, Iowa.
Graveside Services for John will be 11:30 a.m., Monday at the Rock Island National Cemetery, Rock Island, Illinois, with military honors performed by the Moline American Legion, Post 246. Visitation is 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Monday in the Celebration of Life Chapel at Trimble Funeral and Cremation Center, Moline. Memorials may be given to the Prostate Cancer Research Institute.
John William Timmermann was born June 7, 1928 in Fredonia, New York, the son of William Carl and Norma June (Anderson) Timmermann. He married the former Rose Ellen Donahue on March 6, 1972 in Caledonia, Minnesota. John retired from the United States Navy on April 13, 1970. He then went to work in management for Kmart. After retiring from Kmart, John worked part-time for Central Ace Hardware on 23rd Avenue in Moline.
John was a member of the Moline American Legion, Post 246, and enjoyed working in his yard, and puttering around with cars.
Survivors for John include, his wife, Rose Timmermann of Moline, IL; five children, Delilah Boidlen of Kingston, MA, Deborah Lindelof of North Weymouth, MA, David Timmermann of Rockland, MA, Donna Bulins of East Weymouth, MA, and Denise Timmermann-Zahn of South Weymouth, MA; eleven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a sister Hanna Sam of Lockport, NY. He was preceded in death by a sister, Vilma Schulze and a brother, Charles Timmermann.
