John J. Bloomfield

John Bloomfield, 61, of New Windsor, Illinois, died, Tuesday, December 21, 2004, at Oak Glen Nursing Home, Coal Valley. Private burial will be at National Cemetery, Rock Island. Memorials may be sent to the Rock Island County No-Kill Animal Shelter, Milan. Trimble Funeral and Cremation Center, Moline handled arrangements. John J. Bloomfield, Jr. was born February 2, 1943 in Troy, New York, son of John and Margaret (Canfield) Bloomfield. He graduated from Russell Sage College, Troy, NY with a B.S. in economics and accounting. John married Diane Ramroth in November of 1963 in Troy, NY, then married Ellen Rickard in February of 1987, she preceded in death in June of 1997. John would like to thank Dr. Garneau and his wonderful staff, and would like to extend a special thanks to his co-workers at Casino Rock Island, and at H & R Block for their kindness and understanding during his illness. He retired from the USAF Reserve in February of 2003 after serving 24 years. Survivors include, his mother, Margaret, Troy, NY; daughter, Debra, Stephentown, NY; two sons, Michael, Syracuse, NY, and Matthew, Torrance, CA; stepson, Dale Hooker, Rupert, ID; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Margaret Rouke of Savannah, GA, and MaryAnn Bloomfield of Troy, NY; his partner to the end, Sally Kleemann, New Windsor, and his first wife, Diane Ramroth, Stephentown, NY.
