John C. Henderson

John C. Henderson, 71, of Moline, Illinois, died Sunday, January 14, 2024, at Genesis Medical Center, Silvis, Illinois.

Services to celebrate John’s life will be announced at a later date.  Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, Moline, Illinois, under the direction of Cremation Society of the Quad Cities.   In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.

John Charles Henderson was born January 7, 1953, in Moline, the son of Joseph and Lucille (Baldwin) Henderson.  He graduated from Moline High School and went on to marry Delores Westmoreland on November 10, 1979, in Moline.

He was a welder for Case IH for over 30 years.  After retiring, he went on to work for Lowe’s in Moline for 12 years and most recently for Farm & Fleet, Moline.

Family was the most important thing to John.  He especially enjoyed coaching his children’s baseball/softball teams over the years.

John is survived by his beloved wife, Delores; two children, John (Samantha Lade) Henderson, Jr. of Bettendorf, Iowa, and Jeremy (Michelle) Henderson of Moline; two step-children, Tim (Stephanie) Loose of Des Moines, Iowa, and Tammy Loose of Moline; two grandchildren, Blake and Michael Henderson; two great-grandchildren, Kaycer and Kayzleigh Henderson; and siblings, Michael (Jean) Henderson of The Villages, Florida, and Susan Gordon of Michigan.  He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Scott and Dave Henderson.
