John F. Fulton

John F. Fulton, Jr., 83, of Swedona, Illinois, died at Heartland Health Care Center, Galesburg, Illinois, on Friday, August 12, 2016.

A memorial visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 16, at Trimble Funeral Home, 1700 1st Street, Coal Valley, Illinois. Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory prior to visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

John was born October 2, 1932, in Farmington, Illinois to John F. Fulton Sr. and Louella (Maas) Fulton. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He married Janice Jacobs on September 7, 1956 in Moline, Illinois. John worked for McLaughlin Body Co. for 42 years, and retired in 1995. He loved camping, bird watching, and spending time with his kids and grandkids.

John is survived by his wife, Janice; three children, Robin and her husband Phil Floyd of Burgess, Illinois, Susan Brown of Viola, Illinois, and Christine Walz of Swedona; seven grandchildren, Jennifer, Sam, Stormie, Jeff, Elizabeth, Eden, and Grace; his brother, Elmer Fulton; his sisters Maggie Ferguson and her husband Lee, and Jackie Peterson. He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, John III; his sister, Blanche Covemaker; and his brother Ernie Fulton.
