Joan Troman, 87, of Bettendorf, Iowa, died Thursday, August 4, 2016, at home.
Private burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Davenport, Iowa. Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, Moline, under the direction of the Cremation Society of the Quad Cities. Memorials may be made to the family.
Joan was born April 2, 1929, in Wilton Junction, Iowa, the daughter of Leonard and Ellen (Keane) Lawlor. She served in the U.S. Navy and was married to Thomas Troman until his death in 1988. She worked in the insurance office at Oscar Mayer.
She is survived by a son, Robert Troman of Bettendorf; a granddaughter, Kassidy; a great-grandson, James; sisters, Ruth Debbout of Green Bay, Wisconsin, and Maryann Drexler of Monument, Colorado; sisters-in-law, Dorrie Quinlan of Chicago, and Joan (Richard) Martin of Memphis, Tennessee; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband; a daughter, Joan Ellen Troman; and a sister, Jean Lessman.
