Jimmie Jo Reveal, 56, of Moline, Illinois, passed away Tuesday, March 5, 2013, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria, after a lengthy battle with health issues caused by a motorcycle accident 15 years ago.
A memorial service will take place at a later date. Trimble Funeral and Cremation Center, Moline, is assisting the family. Memorials may be made to the family.
He was born March 22, 1956, in Moline. He served in the United States Navy during Viet Nam. He worked as a police officer in Kansas city for five years, and as a concrete finisher in the Quad Cities for eight years.
Jim was a wise, strong man, who drew from an arsenal of life experiences. He was an athlete; a boxer, a baseball and basketball player. He was a talented musician. He was a hard worker; a truck driver, a construction worker, a police officer, and a navy officer during Viet Nam. He traveled the world and came back to Moline to live out the rest of his life as a father and husband.
He is survived by his wife, Melissa Dewers; kids, Adam, Lexy, Jason, James, and Joann; his sister, Terri Goulet-Smith; and nieces, Misti, Tiffany, and Marci. He was preceded in death by his beloved grandparents who raised them as his own, and his adored mother, Patricia (Mohr) Mink.
