Jennifer D. Bollaert, 36, of Rock Island, Illinois, passed away Wednesday, January 16, 2019, surrounded by her family.
A hospitality gathering to celebrate Jen's life will be 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Monday at CityView Celebrations at Trimble Pointe, 701 12th Street, Moline. Cremation will take place prior to services at Trimble Crematory, under the direction of Trimble Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Jennifer Bollaert Memorial Fund to be established for her son, Joseph.
Jennifer Dyenne Bollaert was born November 27, 1982, in Silvis, Illinois, the daughter of Dr. William Todd and Cathy (Dye) Bollaert. She graduated from Alleman High School in 2001 and went on to earn her bachelor's degree from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale. She worked as a dental hygienist in Chicago and Denver.
Jen was very artistic, enjoying painting and crafts of all kinds. She also loved cooking and was an avid Chicago Cubs and Bears' fan. Above all else, family was the most important thing to Jen. She loved her nieces and nephew with all of her heart. Her son, Joseph, was the light of her life and brought her great joy and happiness.
She is survived by her beloved son, Joseph Bollaert; her parents, Dr. Todd and Cathy Bollaert of Rock Island; her maternal grandfather, Clarence Dye of East Moline; a brother, Joshua Bollaert of Reno, Nevada; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Lindsey Bollaert of Bettendorf, Iowa, and Ashley and Aaron Tennant of Pleasant Valley, Iowa; a nephew, Alexander; two nieces, Gia and Taylor; her loving dog, Tinkerbell; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Vilma "Billie" Dye, and paternal grandparents, Katherine "Kay" and William E. Bollaert.
