Jeffrey T. Nicholson

Jeffrey T. Nicholson, 69, of East Moline, Illinois, died Saturday, August 17, 2024. 

Services to celebrate Jeff’s life will be announced at a later date. Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, Moline, under the direction of Trimble Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Chesapeake Bay Retriever Relief & Rescue, Chesapeake Retriever Rescue of Wisconsin, or to Anne Nicholson for a fund to be established in Jeff’s memory.

Jeffrey Thomas Nicholson was born August 21, 1954, in Moline, the son of Edward and Dorothy (McNeil) Nicholson. He married Anne Heirigs, on July 25, 2013, in Rock Island, Illinois. He worked for John Deere as a welder for many years. 

He enjoyed welding and other work in his shop. In his younger years, he was a member of the NHRA and even built a hot rod from the ground up. He was an advocate for rescuing dogs and loved his many dogs over the years. He also loved to hunt and truly cherished his time hunting with friends.

Jeff is survived by his beloved wife, Anne; his brother and sister-in-law, Edward Jr. and Sonja Nicholson of Hamlet, Illinois; two nephews, Eddie (Deb) Nicholson of West Des Moines, Iowa, and Brad Nicholson of Milan, Illinois; a niece, Kristin (Eric) DeKeyser of Moline; his loving dogs, Molly, Kally and Chico; and many great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
