Jean A. Woolley, 84, formerly of Colona, Illinois, died Tuesday, May 7, 2019, in Park Vista, East Moline.
A hospitality gathering will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Saturday, May 25, 2019, in CityView Celebrations in the lower level of Trimble Pointe, 701 12th Street, Moline. Private burial will be in Rock Island National Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the East Moline Public Library.
The former Jean Ann Griffin was born July 10, 1934, in Moline, the daughter of Clyde and Clara (DeVrieze) Griffin. She married Leroy Elmer Woolley February 7, 1953, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Moline. He died December 21, 2016. She was a radiology secretary at Illini Hospital in Silvis for over 25 years, retiring in 1991.
Jean is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Catherine and Kenneth DeBaillie of Cordova, Illinois, and Karen and Lanny Edwards of Colona; a son and daughter-in-law, James and Joy Woolley of Geneseo, Illinois; seven grandchildren, Amy (Jeremy Merritt) DeBaillie, Angela (Keith) Bradley, Annie (Matthew) Schlachter, Cory (Brent) Bogen, Nick Edwards, Tim Woolley, and Sarah Woolley; five great-grandchildren, Nolan and Gretta Bradley, Griffin Merritt, and Max and Sam Bogen; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Robert (Barb) Griffin of East Moline, and Larry (Linda) Griffin of Rapids City, Illinois. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and her twin sister, Joyce Church.
