Jean A. Ray

Jean A. Ray, 67, of Coal Valley, Illinois, died Wednesday, July 25, 2012, in Hope Creek Care Center, East Moline.

Private burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Moline. Memorials may be made to the famly in care of Crabby’s in Coal Valley. Trimble Funeral and Cremation Center, Coal Valley, is assisting the family.

The former Jean Ann Swanson was born January 3, 1945, in Little Rock, Arkansas, the daughter of G. Arthur and Hildur Kallenberg Swanson. She graduated from Blackhawk College. She married Anthony L. Ray on October 11, 1988. He died December 14, 2002. She did private duty nursing and previously was employed at Davenport Medical Center.

Jean is survived by three children, Kim Simon of California, and Ron Gatlin and Ray McQuilliam of Coal Valley, three step-daughters, Debbie Cosman of Bethany, Missouri, Viette Ray of California, and Lisa Ray of Rock ford, Illinois; and six grandchildren.
