Jean A. Linzer, 60, of Milan, Illinois, died Monday, April 20, 2015, at Rock Island Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Rock Island, Illinois.
Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory with private burial at Rock Island National Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Quad City Animal Welfare Center, Milan. Trimble Funeral Home & Crematory, Moline, is assisting the family.
The former Jean Ann Stambaugh was born August 4, 1954, in Rock Island, the daughter of Norris and Shirley (Mattingly) Stambaugh. She married Victor Linzer on March 17, 1973, in Moline.
She was proud to work as a housekeeper for the hospice unit at Lutheran Hospital, Moline. She had other employment over the years, including Fresh Pak Candy Co. in Moline. She painted Army vehicles at Kaiserslautern Army Depot while stationed in Germany with her husband.
Jean enjoyed Anime, fashion magazines, make-up, purses, and helping her family and friends through the years. She loved all the many pugs, the latest being Harvick, and the many cats that found their way into their lives. Those that knew her will miss her beautiful smile.
She is survived by her husband, Victor, of Milan; a son, George Linzer, and his sons, Tyler, Samuel and George, all of Alabama; her mother, Shirley Stambaugh of Moline; siblings, Carmen Sue Manley of Milan, Connie Spears of Bettendorf, Iowa, and Richard Stambaugh of Fort Wayne, Indiana; nephews, Derek Miller and David Estes, both of Moline; and a cousin, Sylvester and Alisa Atnip of Milan. She was preceded in death by her father, Norris Stambaugh, a sister, Rosalie Stambaugh, and a grandson, Isaac.
