J'arieyon Jovan Dupri Reed

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of beloved J’arieyon Jovan Dupri Reed on January 14, 2025, at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago.

J’arieyon Jovan Dupri Reed was born on November 26, 2024 at 9:35 a.m., in Davenport, Iowa, the son of Jovan Reed and Chhamorrionna Rogers.

Though his journey was marked by bravery and strength, J’arieyon found comfort in the loving presence of his family. He especially cherished the soothing sound of his mother’s voice, whether she was singing or talking to him. His spirit was a testament to resilience and the unbreakable bond of family.

J’arieyon is deeply loved and will be forever missed by his parents, Jovan Reed and Chhamorrionna Rogers; his brothers, Jovan Reed Jr., A’shon Reed, C.J. Reed, and Jayse Mercer; and his sisters, J’shira Reed and J’ariyee Reed. He is also survived by his grandparents, Reginald Nunley, Chaquitta Reed, Morrio (Tiffany) Rogers, and Shanica Crawford; as well as a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family who adored him.

He was preceded in death by his paternal great-grandparents; great-grandmother, Patricia Sykes; great-great-grandmother, Mary Crawford; and a cousin, Aaryis Henderson, who now welcome him with open arms.

Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory in Moline, under the direction of Trimble Funeral Home. 

While our hearts ache, we find solace in knowing J’arieyon is at peace, surrounded by love in Heaven.

Rest easy, sweet J’arieyon. You were a blessing to this world, and your memory will live on in the hearts of those who love you.
