Janet Callahan Theall

Janet Callahan Theall, 66, of Montgomery, Alabama, formerly of Davenport, Iowa, lost her 10-year battle with cancer on Sunday, August 7, 2016.

Graveside services are 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at Rock Island National Cemetery. Those wishing to attend should meet at Trimble Funeral Home at Trimble Pointe, 701 12th Street, Moline, at 10:45 a.m. Following the service, friends and family will gather at CityView Celebrations at Trimble Pointe for a luncheon and time of sharing. Janet was born on November 27, 1949, in Davenport, to Lyle J. and Doris L. (Hall) Callahan. For 31 years, Janet committed her warmth and passion to healing others. She dedicated her nursing skills to adults and babies alike. As many know, laughter was her best medicine. Janet graduated from Assumption High School 1968 in Davenport and Moline Public Hospital School of Nursing in 1985. She earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in 2011.

She is survived by her husband, Doug of Montgomery, Alabama; sons, Jason Parish of Montgomery, Joshua (Amy) Parish of Kansas City, Missouri, Matthew (Kathy) Parish of Houston, Texas, and Isaac Lamer of Austin, Texas; grandchildren, Tristian, Parker, and Sloane; a brother, Tom (Judy) Callahan of Rock Island, Illinois; sisters, Mary (Mik) Hamilton of Walnut Creek, California, and Kate (Bill) Goodworth of Davenport; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.
