Aledo, Illinois Jane Carleton Dunlap Fisher, 72, of Aledo, died suddenly, Saturday, September 22, 2001, at her home. Funeral Services for Jane will be held Thursday, at 3:00 PM at College Avenue Presbyterian Church, Aledo. Burial will be in Aledo Cemetery. Visitation is Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at Trimble Funeral Home, Aledo. Memorials may be made to the College Avenue Presbyterian Church or the Mercer County Food Pantry. Jane Carleton Dunlap was born on July 27, 1929, in Franklin, New Hampshire, to Bernard C. and Pearl Carleton Dunlap. She married John S. Fisher on September 11, 1954, at the East Andover Congregational Church, East Andover, New Hampshire. Jane was employed as a live-in nursery governess prior to her marriage and later was involved in other nursing care in the Aledo area. She was a homemaker and an active farm wife with her husband in the Ohio Grove Township on a centennial farm. Jane was a member of the College Avenue Presbyterian Church, the guild and Women's Association, and was currently on the session. She was a member of the Book Club of Mercer County and had been an active member of the former Aledo Garden Club. She was an avid recipe collector. Jane was a faithful friend to many, and was a devoted Wife, Mother and Grandmother. Jane is survived by her husband, John; a son, Harry of Aledo; a daughter and son-in-law, Cara and Steve Ausmus of Aledo; and three grandchildren, Steven, Sara and Bernard Ausmus.
