Jane M. Anderson

Jane M. Anderson, 52, of Moline, Illinois, died Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at home.

A hospitality gathering to celebrate Jane’s life will be 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Saturday, April 19, to conclude with a time of sharing for family and friends at 4:00 p.m., at CityView Celebrations at Trimble Pointe, 701 12th Street, Moline. Cremation will take place prior to services at Trimble Crematory. Memorials may be made to Justin Anderson for a fund to be established in Jane’s memory.

The former Jane Melissa Schimmel was born October 27, 1972, in Moline, the daughter of Leonard and Rosanne (Martens) Schimmel. She graduated from Moline High School in 1991 and married Justin Anderson, on September 23, 2000, in Rock Island, Illinois.

She was a hair stylist for many years, most recently working at Element Salon and Barber in East Moline. She also enjoyed her time working at Nature’s Treatment of Illinois in Milan.

Jane enjoyed swimming in the summer, Moline High School basketball, and loved a good margarita (as long as it wasn’t too expensive 😊).

Above all else, family was the focus of her life. She enjoyed taking care of them and making sure they had everything they needed, but also earned the nickname of “Little Sarge” and “Ebenezer” because of the budget she enforced. She cherished the time spent with her children and grandchildren, who were truly her pride and joy.

And then there was Justin… He was the true love of her life and they lived their marriage to its fullest every single day. She loved their random day trips taken together, and when asked about her Justin, Jane simply said “I just love being with him”.

Jane is survived by her husband, Justin, and two children, Aundrea Wright and Marcus (Hailey Flippo) Anderson, all of Moline; four grandchildren, Eli Wright, and Bentley, Penelope and Malcolm Anderson; her brother, Steven Schimmel; and many cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and her many cats over the years including Isabella.
