Jamie E. Kain, 49, of Davenport, Iowa, died Thursday, October 10, 2024, at Loyola University Medical Center, Chicago, Illinois.
A gathering to celebrate Jamie's life is 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 26, at Racer's Edge, 936 15th Avenue, East Moline. Cremation will take place under the direction of Trimble Funeral Home, Moline. Memorials may be made to the family.
Jamie Edward Kain was born April 2, 1975, in Moline, the son of Virginia (Stilwell) Kain and Earl Kain. He married the love of his life, Mickey Fierce, on November 18, 2011, in Davenport. He worked most recently for Lift Systems in Moline. Previously, he had enjoyed his job delivering ice.
He enjoyed fishing, playing pool, and spending time with his family. His passion was music. He was a talented drummer who was known for his blues and rock bands (Hollywood Dave and QC Slim, with his brother, Joshua), but also could play gospel and country.
Jamie is survived by his beloved wife, Mickey; three children, Nathan Kain, Abbi Kain, and Markus Kain, all of East Moline; his mother, Virginia Kain of Moline; his father, Earl Kain of Silvis; step-daughters, Bethany Jaggers of Rock Island, and Dallas Duarte of Davenport; step-grandchildren, Hailey and Victoria Jaggers, Ryker Nelson, and Lucas and Febe Duarte; and siblings, Jennifer (Bob) Bent of Colona, Illinois, Earl (Kristy) Kain of Rock Island, and Joshua (Tara) Kain of Rock Island.
