James J. "Taco" Hurtado, 45, of Geneseo, Illinois, died Sunday, August 12, 2018, at Hammond-Henry Hospital, Geneseo.
A hospitality gathering with food and beverages will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. on Friday, at CityView Celebrations at Trimble Pointe, 701 12th Street, Moline. Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, Moline, under the direction of Trimble Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the family.
Taco was born April 16, 1973, to Joseph Sr. and Cora Dehls Hurtado. He was a fork life operator for Xpak in Milan. He belonged to Quad City Karaoke Meet Up, and enjoyed fishing and camping.
He is survived by his wife, Tanya Hurtado; his mother, Cora Andrews; sons, Brenton Sonier and Tohama Hurtado; two grandchildren; his partner, Tina VanQuakebeke; and numerous siblings, including Daniel Hurtado, Ron Ruiz, Martin King, Brandy Pascal, Julien Hurtado, Joseph Hurtado Jr., and Rey Perez.
