James L. Schurvinske

James L Schurvinske, 74, of Geneseo, Illinois, passed away at Generations Rock Island on Wednesday, December 14, 2016.

Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, Moline, under the direction of Cremation Society of the Quad Cities. Private services will be held at a later date. There will be no visitation. Memorials may be made to the family.

James was born June 20,1942, in Geneseo the son of Irma (Jaquet) and Earl Schurvinske.

James worked at John Deere East Moline, the Deck, Geneseo, and the Isle of Capri, Bettendorf.
He was a member of the First Lutheran Church, Geneseo, and the Moose Lodge. He enjoyed Cubs baseball and Bears football.

Surviving are five children Jeffery (Christine) Schurvinske, Sidney, Ill.,Jenny Johnson, Jamey (Traci) Schurvinske, Jill (Jason) Sprout, all of Champaign, Ill., and Jeanna (Blake) Swanson of Fisher Ill. There are 10 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Also 5 nieces and nephews.
Also surviving is his brother Charles Schurvinske, four sisters Eileen Schurvinske, Barbara Setterberg, Sandra Hilligoss, and Sharon (Steve) Lofgren, all of Geneseo.

He was proceeded in death by his parents and a brother Robert.
