James L. Lees

James L. Lees, 74, of Rural Lynn Center, Illinois, died Saturday, January 12, 2019, at his home.

Private family services will take place at a later date. Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, Moline, under the direction of Trimble Funeral Home, Coal Valley. Memorials may be made to Alcoholics Anonymous.

James Lyle Lees was born February 13, 1944, in Moline, the son of Lyle James and Alice (Harsha) Lees. He married Ruth M. Dowell on October 27, 1962, in Moline.

Jim is survived by his wife, Ruth; two sons, J. Duane (Phebe) Lees of Bettendorf, Iowa, and Jeffrey S. Lees of Aledo, Illinois; a brother-in-law, Richard Anderson of Coal Valley; and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by four sisters and three brothers-in-law, Mary Lou (Ralph) McWhinney, Ruth (Robert) Martin, Lina (Marvin) Anderson, A. Darlene Anderson; a nephew, William McWhinney; and his parents, Lyle J. and Alice M. Harsha Lees.
