James Howard Allison

Funeral Services for James H. Allison, 79, of Moline, Illinois will be Wednesday, at 10:00 AM at Trimble Funeral Home, Moline. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be in Moline Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the James Allison Memorial Fund.

Mr. Allison died on Saturday, July 28, 2001 at Trinity Medical Center, West Campus, Rock Island, Illinois.

James was born on January 17, 1922, in Moline, Illinois, to Algot and Anna (Youngberg) Allison. He married Marion Elizabeth Walther on October 2, 1943 in Moline. She preceded him in death on August 23, 1994. James was with the May Company, a family business, for over 25 years. He was a member of Riverside United Methodist Church and the Moline Elks Lodge. He enjoyed spending time with his family and golfing.

James is survived by three sons and daughter-in-laws: Greg and Vicki Allison of Moline; Jon and Lynette Allison of Johnston, IA; Doug and Kimbra Allison of Manitowoc, WI; 7 grandchildren: Barry Allison and wife, Kristen, Mat Allison, Erik and Brian Allison, and Jessica, April and Adam Allison; and 2 great-granddaughters, Delaney and Hannah Allison. James was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Marion; 2 brothers and a sister, Lucille Anderson.
