Coal Valley, Illinois James E. Taube, 64, of Coal Valley, died Friday, January 14, 2005, in the Emergency Room at Trinity Medical Center, Moline. Services are 11 a.m. Monday at First Presbyterian Church, Coal Valley, with The Reverend Timothy Snart officiating. Burial is in Coal Valley Cemetery. Visitation is 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Trimble Funeral and Cremation Center, Coal Valley. Memorials may be made to the church. James Ernest Taube was born August 20, 1940, in Moline, the son of Carl Edward and Beryle Utts Taube. He married Carole Ristau on February 18, 1961, in Coal Valley. He was a machinist for Harrington Signal Company, Moline, for 38 years, retiring in 2002. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Coal Valley, and Valley View Country Club. He was an avid golfer, and actively participated in watching his grandchildren's sporting activities. Jim is survived by his wife, Carole; two children and spouses, Michael and Sherry Taube of Coal Valley, and Michelle and Todd Kahley of Orion; four grandchildren. Courtney and Logan Taube and Zachary and Lauren Kahley; His mother, Beryle Taube of Coal Valley, and a brother and sister-in-law, Wayne and Mary Taube of Coal Valley.
