James P. Dorr

James P. Dorr, 42, of Moline, Illinois, died unexpectedly of natural causes on Sunday, June 4, 2023.

A memorial service is 1:00 p.m. Friday, June 16, at Grace Bible Fellowship, 1535 36^th Avenue, Moline. Graveside services are 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 16, at Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline.  Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, Moline, under the direction of Trimble Funeral Home.  Memorials may be made to the family for a fund to be established in Jim’s memory.

James Paul Dorr was born March 20, 1981, in Moline, the son of Gregory and Vickie (Kennan) Dorr.

He enjoyed videogaming and being outdoors, especially camping and shooting.  If you met Jim, you loved him, without exception.  The same was true for animals.  Above all else, family was the most important thing to Jim.

Jim is survived by his father and step-mother, Gregory and Beth Dorr Sr. of Matherville, Illinois; his siblings, Patricia (Charles) Ruddell of Blue Grass, Iowa, Gregory Dorr, Jr. of Reynolds, Illinois, Jason (Sonya) Engle of Wapello, Iowa, Amber (Devin Fabre) Chavez of Davenport, Crystal (Mike Ludin) Engle of Rock Island, Allen Hepner of Rock Island, and Nicholas Hepner; many beloved nieces and nephews with whom he was very close, and their families; and good friends Ha Nguyen and DJ Armstrong.  He was preceded in death by his mother, Vickie Cargile.
