James Chad Rochelle

James Chad Rochelle, 47, of Rock Island, Illinois, died Thursday, September 23, 2021, at UnityPoint Health – Trinity Rock Island.

Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, Moline, Illinois, under the direction of Cremation Society of the Quad Cities.

Chad was born October 22, 1973, in Rock Island, the son of James Rufus and Wilma Sue (Wheatley) Rochelle. He worked security at several area businesses.

He enjoyed fishing and was an avid football (Chicago Bears) and basketball (Los Angeles Lakers) fan. Above all else, family was the most important thing to Chad.

Chad is survived by two children, Devin Rochelle of Rock Island, and Jazzmin Rochelle of Moline; his mother, Sue Rochelle of Rock Island; a sister and brother-in-law, Shavonna and Marlin McManus of Milan, Illinois; a brother-in-law, Michael McNair of Rock Island; nephews, Adam McNair of Matherville, Illinois, Colton McManus of Viola, Illinois, and Caleb McManus of Milan; three great-nephews, Ethan, John, and Gavin McNair; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents; his father; and a sister, Vonda McNair.
