James Allen Weber was born October 14, 1942, in Moline, the son of Harry George and Betty Jane DeFrates Weber. He graduated from Moline High School and Augustana College. He married Pamela K. Willits on November 30, 1963, in Moline. He worked for Deere and Company for 45 years, loved traveling to Europe, Brazil, India, and China for the company, and retired recently as Senior Industrial Engineer.
Jim had been a member of Short Hills Country Club, East Moline, and Oakwood Country Club, Coal Valley. He was a deeply beloved husband and devoted father, and had four passions : his family, his faith, his work, and his golf. He often said, "I am living the American Dream," and he thoroughly enjoyed still being able to beat his sons at golf.
Jim is survived by his wife, Pam; three children and their spouses, Greg and Beth Weber of Davenport, Dr. Brad and Becky Weber of Carmel, Indiana, and Wendi Weber of Chicago; five grandchildren, Quinn, Lexi, Liz, Adam, and Grant Weber; his brother and sister-in-law, Bob and Jan Weber of Des Plaines, Illinois; and a nephew and two nieces, Dave Weber, Maria Boustead, and Jenny Weber.
