James A. Durbin, 42, of Moline, Illinois, passed away Sunday, April 21, 2019, at Hope Creek Care Center, East Moline.
Services to celebrate Jim's life will be held Saturday, April 27, beginning with a visitation from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. A memorial service will follow at 4:00 p.m. Cremation will take place prior to services at Trimble Crematory, Moline, under the direction of Trimble Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Jim's children, care of their mother, Melanie Durbin.
James Alwin Durbin was born January 21, 1977, in Rock Island, Illinois, the son of Richard and Donna (Lindoerfer) Durbin. He graduated from Rock Island High School in 1996, and went on to marry Melanie Coverdill, with whom he had two children before separating.
He enjoyed going to the pool in the summer and spending time with friends. Above all else, family was the most important thing to Jim, especially his children, who were his pride and joy.
Jim is survived by his daughter and son, Kaylyn and Dylan Durbin, both of Moline; his father, Richard Durbin of Moline; siblings, Niki (Art) Fallon of Phoenix, Arizona, Jason (Lisa) Durbin of Chicago, and Joe Durbin of Moline; and nieces and nephews, Alexander Franks, Elijah Hite-Fallon, and Samantha, Josh, Tyler and Emily Durbin. He was preceded in death by his mother, Donna Durbin; a sister, Danielle Orton; his grandmother, Gert Lindoerfer; and an uncle, Dean Lindoerfer.
