Jacqueline J. Grimm, 75, of Moline, died Thursday, September 1, 2005, at Trinity Medical Center, Rock Island.
Services are 11:00 a.m. Saturday in the Celebration of Life Chapel at Trimble Funeral and Cremation Center, Moline. Private burial will be in National Cemetery, Rock Island. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Memorials may be given to the Riverside United Methodist Church in Moline, where she was a member.
The former Jacqueline Jean Moore was born December 28, 1929, in Saint Louis, Missouri, the daughter of Walter and Edna (Otesky) Moore. She married Richard Edward Grimm on March 19, 1948, in Jefferson City, Missouri. Jacqueline was employed as a secretary at Western Structual Company in Moline for many years, retiring in 1993. She had previously been employed at WW Steel in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Jacqueline was a member of NAWIC, Nation Association of Wommen In Construction, and a women?s swimming group known as the Mermaids. She enjoyed spending her time reading, traveling, and scuba diving.
Survivors include her husband, Richard Grimm of Moline, two daughters and sons-in-law, Pamela and Gary White of Hampton, Illinois, and Linda and Ted Smith of Stroud, Oklahoma, two sons and daughters-in-law, Russell and Marsha Grimm of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and David and Becky Grimm of Tuscon, Arizona, eight grandchildren and their spouces, Jamie White, Jessica White, Todd and Jeanna Smith, Ryan Grimm, Whitney Grimm, Tiffany Grimm, Megan Grimm, and Nichole Thomas; a great-granddaughter, Tori Grimm; and a brother-in-law, Byron Barton of Saint Louis, Missouri. She was preceded in death by a sister Nancy Barton.
