Jackie M. “Jack” Eslinger, 89, of Moline, Illinois, died Saturday, April 1, 2023, at Allure of the Quad Cities, Moline.
Services are 10 A.M. Friday in the Horizon Room at Trimble Funeral Home at Trimble Pointe, 701 12th Street, Moline. Burial is in Rock Island National Cemetery. Visitation is 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Friends are invited to join the family at a funeral luncheon at CityView Celebrations on the lower level of Trimble Pointe following the burial.
Jackie Mark Eslinger was born July 15, 1933, in Ottumwa, Iowa, to Estel and Mae (Evans) Eslinger. He married Stella Brennan in 1953 and they were divorced. He married Patricia Razer in 1966, and they were divorced. He served in the US Air Force during the Korean Conflict, and then owned and operated Eslinger Signs in Moline and Rock Island, retiring in 2001. He was a member of Moline Community Church of the Nazarene. Music was a big part of his life. He played the saxophone, clarinet, trumpet, and flute in the Air Force Band and in several local bands. He also composed music and was an artist.
Jack is survived by nine children and spouses, Terry Sawyer, Jackie and John Flack, Patrick Neil Reedy, Randy Reedy, Wayne Eslinger, Carrie and Rick Riley, James Eslinger, Dana and Jeff Moffitt, and Amanda and Jon Koeppel; 16 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Diane Anderson.
