Odessa J. Watson, 80, of Moline, Illinois, died Friday, May 16, 2008, in Trinity Medical Center, Rock Island.
Services are 10 a.m. Wednesday in the Celebration of Life Chapel at Trimble Funeral and Cremation Center, Moline. Burial is in Moline Memorial Park. Visitation is 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
The former Odessa Josephine Sisco was born May 15, 1928, in Coal Springs, Missouri, the daughter of James and Bessie (Coots) Sisco. She married Charles R. Watson on August 1, 1981, in Rock Island. She worked at Oscar Meyer for 10 years and tended bar at the Capitol Tavern in East Moline and the East Moline VFW. She enjoyed playing Bingo, going to the gambling boats, knitting and crocheting and making dolls.
Odessa is survived by her husband, Charles; six children and their spouses, Linda and Louis Prescott of Colona, Illinois, Daryl Melear of Moline, Chuck and Railene Watson of Macomb, Missouri, Mike and Heather Watson of Paris, Missouri, John Watson of Kansas City, Missouri, and Memory and Alan Chandler of Lynn Center, Illinois; 11 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and brothers and sisters-in-law, James and Doris Sisco and Donald and Dixie Sisco, all of Davenport, Iowa.
