J. Ulfig

Patricia Ulfig, 75, of Coal Valley, Illinois, died Sunday, March 9, 2008, in Trinity Medical Center, Rock Island.

Services are 11:45 a.m. at Wednesday at Trimble Funeral and Cremation Center, Coal Valley, and 12:00 p.m. at St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church, Coal Valley, with the Reverend Jim DeBisschop officiating. Visitation is 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial is in Rock Island National Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the church or to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.

The former Patricia Jean Bradshaw was born December 21, 1932, in Pontiac, Illinois, the daughter of Ralph and Mary Lavica (O?Brien) Bradshaw. She married Charles Ulfig, Jr. on April 12, 1952, in Rock Island.

Patricia was a member of Welcome Wagon, the E. Flora Jones Newcomers Club, and the ?50?s Club. She enjoyed theatre, working behind the scenes at Playcrafters, performing in the Sacred Heart Choir, and helping to found Sing Out Quad Cities. Most importantly, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

Patricia is survived by her husband of 55 years; sons and daughters-in-law, Ralph Bradshaw "Brad" and Ruth Ulfig of Milan, and William and Helen Ulfig of Moline; a daughter and son-in-law, Catherine and Carl Fetzner of Walled Lake, Michigan; a daughter-in-law, Mary Ulfig of Coal Valley; grandchildren, Brandon and Sheri Ulfig, Jamie Lesley, Mandy Claeys, Kayla Ulfig, and Nicholas, Laura, Heidi, and Eric Fetzner; step-grandchildren, Ellen Clow, Ed and Nancy Clow, Jimi Clow, and Tom and Barb Clow; five great-grandchildren; and a sister, Shirley Gillette of Schooleys Mountain, New Jersey. She was preceded in death by a son, Charles Ulfig III.
