Mary J. Slominski, 66, of Rock Island, formerly of Lynden, Washington, died Friday, September 21, 2007, in Trinity Medical Center, Rock Island.
Private services will take place at a later date. Memorials may be made to the Quad City Animal Welfare Center. Trimble Funeral and Cremation Center, Moline, is assisting the family.
Mary was born December 22, 1940, in Alberta, Canada, the daughter of William and Jennie (Skeboe) Slominski.
Mary was a member of St. Pius Catholic Church in Rock Island. She was an avid dog lover.
Mary is survived by her children and their spouses, Alex Abundis of Lynden, Washington, Wes and Kim Abundis of Ventura, California, Bill Abundis of Rock Island, Christopher and Christina Abundis of Lynden, and Jennifer and Ron Conner of Moline, grandchildren, Megan, Ryan, Marissa, Austin, and Hope Abundis, and Andrew and Ally Herr, a sister, Louise, a brother, Steven, and numerous relatives in Washington and California.
