Irene J, Meienberg, 86, of Tucson, Arizona, formerly of Moline, Illinois, died Saturday, August 1, 2009, in A.S. C. Assisted Living, Tucson.
Graveside services are 2 p.m. Wednesday at Moline Memorial Park with The Reverend Larry Conway officiating. Trimble Funeral and Cremation Center, Moline, is in charge of arrangements.
The former Irene Josephine Kroeger was born November 7, 1922, in Moline, the daughter of Henry and Hertha (Wiechert) Kroeger Jr.. She married Alfred Meienberg on June 20, 1953, in Colona, Illinois. He died April 23, 1972. She was a self-employed bookkeeper and worked at Prudential Life Insurance Company for 18 years.
Irene is survived by two children, Elaine Meienberg of Tucson, and Jeffrey Meienberg of Sahuarita, Arizona. She was preceded in death by a brother, Glen Kroeger, and a sister, Harriett Kummerfeldt.
