Norma J. Geuther, 74, of Rock Island, Illinois, died Sunday, March 22, 2009, in her home.
Services are 11 a.m. Thursday in the Celebration of Life Chapel at Trimble Funeral and Cremation Center, Moline. Burial is in Rock Island Memorial Park. Visitation is 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
The former Norma Jean Stillwell was born August 22, 1934, in Ottawa, Illinois, the daughter of Samuel and Nella (Iverson) Stillwell, She married Walter H. Geuther on June 25, 1955, in Leland, Illinois.
Norma is survived by her husband of 54 years, Walter; four children and their spouses, Pam and John Walsh of Rock Island, Deb Moore of Rock Falls, Illinois, Judy and William Cleaver of Rock Island, and Jeff and Chris Geuther of Bloomington, Illinois; eight grandchildren and their spouses, Lisa and John Krahl, Mike and Allison Walsh, Cindy and Keith Zinke, Chad and Jessica Tubbs, Alan and Cortney Moore, Justin McMahon, Kimberly McMahon, and Bryan Geuther; four great-grandchildren, Brantley Joynt, Patrick and Lauren Zinke, and Riley Moore; and sisters, Delores Navarro of Ottawa, and Pat Whitmore of Mendota, Illinois. She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, and six brothers.
