Irving Baker, 83, of Coal Valley, Illinois, died Saturday, May 1, 2021, at UnityPoint Health – Trinity Rock Island, Rock Island, Illinois.
Graveside services are 12:30 p.m. Friday at Rock Island National Cemetery, where the Moline American Legion Post #246 will present military honors. Those wishing to attend should meet at Trimble Pointe, 701 12th Street, Moline, at 12:15 p.m.
Irving was born December 12, 1937. He served in the U.S. Army.
Irving is survived by two daughters, June (Clyde) Alspaw of Moline, and Abbie (Jeremiah) Meewes of Coal Valley; step-children, Scott (Heather) Desseyn, Christopher (Angie) Desseyn, Mark (Shana) Desseyn, and Alisia (Jesse) Weeks; grandchildren, Syndie and Gabriella Alspaw, Gabriel Meewes, Valerie Araiza, Daniel Mercy, Ashley Desseyn, Landon Desseyn, Brittney and Cody Desseyn, Cooper and Sawyer Desseyn, Katelynn Desseyn, and Kaleigh, Kristen and Koree Weeks; and a brother, Ted (Carolle) Baker. He was preceded in death by his parents; two daughters, Cindy and Lisa Araiza; and three sisters.
